Programs in dog grooming are designed to help students learn about topics such as grooming equipment and tools, pre bath and bathing procedures, clipping, scissoring, breed cuts, cat grooming, working in a grooming salon, owning your own grooming business and much more. The goal of our program is to prepare candidates for responsibilities they will hold in the actual setting of a dog grooming salon. After gaining the requisite skills and training, our candidates apply their knowledge in an actual salon setting working alongside experience dog grooming personnel. The skills gained through our program––and the real life experience, in particular––are extremely valuable to candidates as they begin job searching upon completion of our program.
