Too often people give up their dogs due to lack of obedience or behavioral issues. My goal is to keep the dogs in their own home and out of the shelter.
I have been exposed to dogs my entire life. In 1995, I began formal obedience training with my own dog and once she completed basic and prenovice classes, I would assist other dogs and handlers. I was an instructor for eight years teaching classes ranging from puppy kindergarten, beginner, and advanced beginner obedience classes. In 2000, I started teaching private lessons when it was needed. In both of these settings, I was exposed to a multitude of temperaments of both dogs and handlers, all of which I possessed patience for dealing with. In addition to being a trainer, I am a CGC evaluator.
I am certified thru ABC’s dog training program and am located in Bellmore, NY. I have a passion for dog training and primarily use positive reinforcement techniques. I find it rewarding to help people to understand their pets and to witness the progress of the dog’s training.
