Volunteering at the Connecticut Humane Society since March of 2007 has fueled my passion for wanting to educate dog owners on the importance of training their dogs.
At CHS I volunteer as a Shelter Dog Trainer. The program teaches basic manners, while trying keep dog’s stimulated in a shelter environment.
In January of 2007, I was fortunate enough to adopt a 10 month male Dalmatian named Squirt. Squirt was returned to the shelter twice. Since then Squirt has successfully learned not only obedience but also learned several tricks to assist in Fire Prevention Training, not only he can stay low, stop, drop and roll, he also gets lost. My mission is quite simple “An Educated Owner is An Educated Dog!”
