Tuition Costs for United States and Canadian Students

Enrolling in vet assistant school is a smart choice if you are serious about a career in veterinary medicine.  Lots of people dream of becoming a veterinarian’s assistant and working with animals.  As a result, there can be stiff competition for jobs. However, successful completion of a certification program can give you a leg up in your job hunt. 

Certification programs vary in cost, quality, and scholarship opportunities.  Animal Behavior College offers one of only a very few select  online programs approved by the National Association of Veterinary Technicians of America (NAVTA).  Tuition for the ABC Veterinary Assistant Program ranges from $2,999 $2,795 USD to $5,630 USD, depending on your payment arrangement and available discounts.* We have a plan for everyone!  No credit checks!

This cost covers your online veterinary assistant course as well as the hands-on training portion of the program with an ABC Mentor Trainer.

Tuition covers:

  • All required digital study materials (approximately 975 pages)
  • 46 educational videos
  • ABC Veterinary Assistant Scrubs
  • Minimum of 100 hours in a veterinary facility
  • Student support from your appointed Program Manager
  • Pet CPR and First Aid Certification (good for 2 years)
  • Lifetime certification as an ABC Veterinary Assistant (ABCVA) upon successful completion
  • ABC Alumni Membership

Full Scholarships Available to Qualified U.S. Military Spouses

Animal Behavior College is proud to be a part of the MyCAA Financial Assistance program. This program offers eligible military spouses up to $4,000 of tuition assistance that can be used toward their veterinary assistant course.

The MyCAA provides 100% tuition assistance to all eligible applicants. Eligible applicants include spouses of Active Duty members of the Department of Defense and activated members of the National Guard and Reserve Components. Since our NAVTA-approved Veterinary Assistant Program qualifies for a full tuition scholarship under MyCAA, applicants can get started with only a $75 application fee. To learn more about your eligibility, call 800-795-3294.
