Reward Yourself with a Fulfilling Career
How often have you thought about having a career working with animals? Enrolling in the ABC Grooming Instruction Program today can be the first step toward making that dream of an animal job a reality.

Dog Grooming Service Jobs Projected to Rise
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand for professional Dog Grooming services will rise by 11% from 2014 to 2024, faster than the average for all occupations.1 This represents one of the largest growth opportunities available as the pet care industry continues to expand. This demand will open the door to many possibilities for animal lovers wishing to pursue professional grooming jobs and other animal careers. The ABC Grooming Instruction Program can launch you into a variety of exciting animal jobs, such as:

  • Pet Groomer
  • Groomer’s Assistant
  • Animal Stylist
  • Pet Care Specialist
  • Kennel Worker
  • Animal Shelter Worker

ABC's grooming school is a combination of in-home study and hands-on training. ABC's Student Groomers are educated in the field of canine and feline grooming. During the ABC Grooming Instruction Program, each student is required to complete an extensive externship in a grooming shop.

On-the-Job Training is Critical
The inclusion of a hands-on training component in ABC's Grooming Program is critical for the learning process. This is only logical given that grooming is a hands on profession requiring more than study from a textbook to learn.  Our program isn't just a theoretical exercise. Our real world training component means just what it says.  You will be placed in an actual grooming business where you will have the opportunity to observe what groomers really experience.

Significance of Certification
Becoming an ABC Certified Groomer can demonstrate your level of dedication and commitment to future employers. In fact, 81% of all groomers surveyed stated they would prefer to employ graduates with grooming skills.2 Your education and certification in this ever-changing field may prove to your employers you have the knowledge and skills necessary to support their needs.
