Testimonial.
Steve Broadwell worked with my rescue Boxer, Buddy.
As a puppy, Buddy was kept in a crate continually and as a result was quite fearful of people, especially of men, as his owner abused him physically. I rescued Buddy at 2 years and found him to be extremely protective of me and our home. People were afraid to enter the gate as Buddy is a large, imposing animal. (With me he was an angel).
From the beginning, Steve used praise, was consistent, and let Buddy know when his behavior was unacceptable by turning away. Buddy caught on quickly and before long Steve gained his trust and was rewarded with lots of
kisses.
The next phase was socialization. We took Buddy to places where people passed by and gradually found him to be more comfortable
with adults, children and other animals.
As I needed to move to a smaller place and found Buddy to be too big for apartment living, Steve helped me find
a Boxer rescue in Lancaster that he researched and found to be a very good choice.
Buddy now lives with a family with 3 children on a farm with good space to run and is doing so well with people
who were happy to adopt him!
Had it not been for Steve, Buddy would have never reached his potential. As an owner, I could give him love
but did not have the proper tools to help him adjust to the life of a well-adjusted, thriving animal.
I have the highest regard for Steve Broadwell’s training experience and genuine love for animals and his
dedicated desire to rehabilitate them.
Sincerely,
Ellen W.
