With over 10 years of volunteer work with companion animals, from training and fostering to Pet therapy and public education advocating for responsible pet ownership.
I decided to expand my knowledge in order to better help companion animals. With the Help of Animal Behavior College, I am now a certified professional dog trainer (CPDT). I am now able to effectively explain to Animal parents not only how to train but also why!
Before getting my certification, I realized that I needed the theory portion, the Why, that is so essential to ensure what we are training is what is best for the animal. I am continuing my education to specialize in nutrition, shelter dogs and cats.
Special areas of interest are fearful, aggressive and disabled animals. My training methods focus on positive training methods and analyzing the root cause of a problem in order to work with the animal and owner to correct the problem. I hold obedience classes and offer private training lessons. I am also certified in Pet Massage.
Pawsitively Nurturing serves York and Lancaster Counties in holistic methods that complement traditional veterinary medicine. We can not stress enough how important it is to have your pet seen by a veterinarian at least on a yearly basis. Pawsitively Nurturing offers group training classes, private lesson, Pet Massage and Pet Sitting.
