Fernando’s life has always revolved around animals. He graduated from Seton Hall University with a communications degree and is a Licensed Dog Trainer with the Animal Behavior College.
Fernando does private in-home consultations and obedience classes at Four Paws Stay and Play in Verona, NJ.
In addition, he’s also a dog handler and caretaker at Rover Ranch and Spa, and works at a holistic pet store called Paradise Pet in Bloomfield, NJ.
He’s previously worked at the Wildlife Conservation Society at the Bronx Zoo and still works part time at Snakes and Scales and Turtle Tales as an instructor, teaching kids about reptiles and amphibians.
In 2004 Fernando wrote a novel called Dog Spelled Backward (www.dogspelledbackward.com), a thriller inspired by his own dog, Hayley.
