Dave’s background in K-9 training started at the age of 8 with the 4-H program and continued on with his expertise in canine behavior and service/working dog training. Dave has brought all his experience into his highly detailed training of canines, especially service dogs and working dogs. He personally meets and sets the designed programs for each new client and service dog in training. He gives his all in the attention to detail and individual attention the clients and their dogs need to succeed. Dave does take his helping others with their service dogs and the goals needed to work together very personally, since not only is he the trainer, Dave is also a person with a disability and has service dog of his own, Kayla.
David, aside from training service dogs he also trains working dogs, search and rescue dogs, and works with behavioral problems, basic, intermediate and advanced obedience training. Dave has experience in a Veterinary office, being a Certified Veterinary Assistant, and is also a canine emergency first aid/cpr instructor.

He continues to expand his knowledge through various organizational memberships and training opportunities. Dave in 2009 was featured in USA Today and in 2011 he worked with a private media company on filming a promotional show segment currently being reviewed for a possible long term national reality show on service dog training.
Dave has that special insight for people dealing with disabilities and service dogs, the laws, and the day-to-day living challenges that people face and with dogs that help.
Types of dogs trained: We train service dogs of all types (ie. mobility, seizure alert/response, neurological, psychiatric, diabetic alert, autism, etc.) WE ALSO CROSS TRAIN SERVICE DOGS for clients that have multiple disabilities/illnesses. An example would be MULTI-DISCIPLINARY SERVICE DOG THAT ASSISTS A CLIENT WITH MOBILITY ISSUES AND BIPOLAR DISORDER OR A SERVICE DOG THAT PROVIDES CROWD CONTROL (FOR A PERSON WITH PTSD) AND ALERTS CLIENT TO LOW OR HIGH BLOOD SUGAR.
