Owner/Head Trainer: Christy Pritchard CDT, ABCDT, ADPT is a very skilled and devoted trainer.
Knowing since childhood that her destiny was to work with animals, Christy knew from a very young age that God had put her on this planet for one reason: To know, understand and love animals, and yes, in particular dogs.
While God may have created Christy with the passion for animals, her parents encouraged and nurtured it. Her parents bred and raised Chow Chows for a large part of her childhood so Christy was exposed to the raising and handling of dogs at a very young age.
Among having dogs Christy was raised in a household full of other animals as well; ranging from Chinese Water Dragons to turtles, to tarantulas giving Christy a wide spectrum of the handling and care of many species of animals.
While still in high school, Christy also went part time to a technical school to be a veterinary assistant. By the time she graduated high school she had also received her certification for veterinary assistant, giving her career in the animal industry a jump start. While attending veterinary assistance school, Christy learned the proper handling skills of many animals and basic obedience for dogs. This launched her career and passion in the field of animal behavior.
Over the course of the past 12 years, Christy has obtained many certifications in the field of animal behavior, has trained over four thousand dogs in animal shelters and has helped just as many families with their dogs. She specializes in reactivity and aggression.
She now holds group classes and private sessions at her facility My Best Buddy in Saint Ann MO.
