After graduating college in 2004 I continued a successful career in Minneapolis, Minnesota doing Human Resources consulting and Employee Benefits Program management. In 2007, I enlisted in the US Army under Special Operations Command working in Psychological Operations. After extensive training and tours to Afghanistan I was medically retired in 2013. It was at that time that I dove into my career training and handling both working and companion dogs. I have owned dogs all my life and did basic obedience training with them, but I now took it up a notch to become a certified Narcotics K-9 Team Handler with my Belgian Malanois, Brenda at Global Canine in San Antonio, TX. I then went through the Dog Obedience Trainer Program provided through Animal Behavior College and working with my training mentor, Linda Wideweitch. Under Linda's tutlege I helped teach Puppy Kindergarten, Basic Dog Obedience and Canine Good Citizen courses. I also worked as a volunteer trainer for Patriot Assistance Dogs, an organization based in Detroit Lakes, MN dedicated to providing service dogs to American's veterans free of charge. I really enjoyed being able to help people learn more about their dogs and and also about themselves as proud pet parents and handlers. I look forward to each and every opportunity to assist a dog or human in need of some refreshers in obedience, public access as well as narcotic and explosive searching. I love my job and if I can be of help, please contact me. I look forward to helping you as much as I can.
