Melanie grew up in California and got into training because she enjoys seeing a dogs’ mind work. She promotes positive reinforcement and has owned several different breeds from herding dogs like the Australian Cattle Dog to terrier breeds like the American Pit Bull.
She has been training dogs since 2002 and started training other peoples’ dogs 4 years later.
She graduated from Animal Behavior College in 2016 to become a certified dog trainer. She is also a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.
Basic Obedience, problem behavior, learning seminars for dog body language and walking gently on leash
Melanie now owns a dog daycare, boarding, grooming, and training facility in Emporia Kansas called Raise Your Paws.
