As a trainer, I believe you do not have to get your dog to listen or behave by intimidation or fear. I also don’t believe that allowing your dog on the bed or letting him walk through the door before you weakens your relationship, or makes them the “pack” leader. I’m pretty sure your dog knows you’re not a dog. What I know from experience is a good trusting relationship between you and your dog makes living together a pleasure.
