Short Term Program – Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a program take to complete?
Students enrolled in ABC’s core programs are allotted 6 months for completion. For public students who are not currently enrolled in a core ABC program are allotted 2 months (8 weeks) for completion. Limited extensions are available. However, the program can be completed as quickly as you like depending on the amount of time to can contribute to your studies.

Once I purchase a Short Term Program, how soon can I access the information?
For Core Program students, Short Term Programs are available for purchase at the time of enrollment, during the program, and after graduation. If you purchased a Short Term Program at the time of enrollment, your Program Manager will grant you access upon completing stage 9 of the program. Your payment may take up to 1 week for processing and approval. Once approved, you will receive an email notifying you when you can access the Short Term Program.

For Non-Core students, Short Term Programs can be purchased at any time. If you would like to purchase a Short Term Program, you will first need to sign up as an ABC Public Student. Once a payment is remitted, you may be granted access after a 3-5 business day period. Once your Short Term Program is approved you will received an email from ABC’s Administration Department, notifying you when you can access your Short Term Program.

I did not pass my Short Term Program, how can I retake the examination?
In order to receive a certificate of completion on any given Short Term Program, students must pass the final examination with a score of 70% or greater. In the event that a student scores below 70% on any given Short Term Program final examination and wishes to take the examination again, there will be a processing fee of $25.00. Students are given 30 days to retake their exam. There are no limitations on the number of retake examinations, however; a separate retake fee will be charged for each one.

What materials are included with the Short Term Program?
The Short Term Programs are formatted in a PDF document which can be downloaded online upon purchase of the program.

How could I benefit from completing a Short Term Program?
At Animal Behavior College, we believe that in order to be successful, it is imperative that you always remain open to learning more. Completing a Short Term Programs enables you to gain specific, in-depth knowledge and experiences, making you an exceptional provider of animal services.

What will I get upon completion of the Short Term Program (i.e., what certification will I receive)?
Upon successful completion of the Short Term Program, you will receive a Certificate of Completion which can be downloaded from the Student or Alumni Center. You can then proudly display your certificate for your clients and loved ones to see.

How much does it cost to purchase a Short Term Program?
Currently, our Short Term Programs are being offered at the low cost of only $300.00.

California Code of Regulations Division 7.5. Private Postsecondary Education.
