Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE)
Animal Behavior College is a private vocational school approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (www.bppe.ca.gov) under the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 and Title 5. California Code of Regulations Division 7.5. Private Postsecondary Education.
The BPPE approval means that this institution and its operation comply with the standards established under the law for occupational instruction by private postsecondary educational institutions. Institutional approval is subject to continual review and the institution must reapply for approval every five years.

The following national organizations recognize and certify graduates of ABC's programs.

Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT)
CCPDT establishes and maintains humane standards of competence for dog training and behavior professionals. The ABC Dog Obedience Instructor program is designed to prepare learners pursuing the CPDT-KA certification.

National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA)
NAVTA advances veterinary nursing and veterinary technology. ABC's Veterinary Assistant Program is NAVTA-approved - meaning graduates are eligible to sit for the national exam to become an Approved Veterinary Assistant (AVA).

National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA)
Founded in 1969, NDGAA promotes excellence in professional grooming standards through certification testing and competitions. The ABC Grooming Instruction program prepares learners pursuing NDGAA certification.

International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC)
Founded in 2004, IAABC supports the practice of animal behavior consulting with over 1,400 members worldwide. IAABC has approved five ABC programs spanning dogs, cats, and veterinary assistance.

International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP)
Founded in 1999, IACP welcomes all canine professionals and dog lovers. Its mission is to support the education and development of professional dog trainers worldwide.

National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors (NADOI)
Founded in 1965, NADOI is a professional organization whose members demonstrate proficiency in humane dog training methods. NADOI has approved multiple ABC programs.
