Santa Clarita, Calif., January 29, 2015 – Animal Behavior College (ABC) today announced that Cardinal Pet Care™, an Azusa, California-based manufacturer and marketer of dog products, has reaffirmed and broadened its sponsorship of the school’s Dog Obedience Program (DOP) and Pet Nutrition and Diet Continuing Education Program (CEP). The sponsorship expansion began earlier this month.
“At Cardinal, our goal is to see pets become healthy, loving, well-socialized family members so that they don’t get turned into shelters because of behavior problems,” said Barbara Denzer, vice president of Cardinal Pet Care. “The key to accomplishing this is through effective training, which is why we are so happy and excited to expand our involvement with Animal Behavior College. As one of the nation’s foremost canine behavior and training organizations, ABC’s president, Steve Appelbaum, and his staff are not only highly competent professionals in their field, they also have a genuine love and understanding of dogs, which is a big reason behind their success.”
“We are delighted to continue partnering with Cardinal Pet Care in offering our dog training program students and graduates some of the most exceptional pet products available in the industry,” said Steven Appelbaum, president and CEO of Animal Behavior College. “Cardinal Pet Care maintains high manufacturing standards, which are reflected in the quality of their products. Our enhanced alliance will not only provide significant product discounts and dog treat samples, but will also include their Pet Botanics dog food varieties as well as informational flyers for students with tips on how to read nutrition labels to better assess pet dietary benefits.”
In 1948, Cardinal Laboratories Inc. was founded in Los Angeles as a manufacturer of pet grooming and health products. Since then, the company relocated and established its main campus in Azusa, California, and expanded its pet product offerings to include dog treats and dog food. The company’s solar-powered campus includes a manufacturing facility, a warehouse, a pet food distribution center, corporate offices, a full R&D laboratory and two QC labs. Today Cardinal Pet Care manufactures several brands of pet products including, Crazy Dog and Pet Botanics.
In addition to dog training certification, ABC offers certification through its Grooming Instruction Program (GIP) and Veterinary Assistant Program (VAP). The school also offers a variety of timely CEPs on subjects including, cat management and training, pet nutrition, pet massage, pet sitting and training shelter dogs.
