My name is Heather and I have been working with animals my whole life. I started a career path in animals in 2012 when I started working at a Pet Resort and after 2 years of working there I moved on to start working at a Pet Supply Warehouse specializing in USA made products.
At that same time I began doing pet-sitting and dog-walking outside of work as I really enjoyed working with dogs and I was able to bring them to work with me during the day.
Early 2015 I decided I wanted to be a Certified Dog Trainer and began taking classes at the Animal Behavior College and earned my Certificate in Dog Training . I also started volunteering at the local Humane Society where I was asked to help train some of the dogs. Towards the end of 2015 I also began volunteering my time and training to Animal Services as well, doing what I could to get the dogs ready for their forever homes.
Towards the end of 2016 I went on to start work at Southeastern Guide Dogs, taking care of the many dogs that are preparing for the journey on a career as a superhero. I love everything about what I do from getting to meet and love all kinds of animals to being able to assure owners that their fur-babies are in good hands.
