This is one of the many things that set us apart from some of the other schools out there.
During this portion of the program, students are given the opportunity to observe much of what they have learned in a real world setting. Depending on the program, this will take place in a professional grooming salon, veterinary clinic or hospital, or with a professional dog trainer. These are working businesses and will provide the student a chance to see firsthand what it is really like to be a professional in the animal industry.
Students will be paired up with a professional Mentor who will guide, supervise and evaluate the student’s performance during their externship. This will include but not be limited to the Mentor’s assessment of the student’s attendance, attitude and interaction with clients as well as the student’s professional conduct during this portion of the program.
