Wallingford, Connecticut 06492
Profile: I spent 4 of my 5 years at the Connecticut Humane Society working with the Behavior Modification Group of Volunteers helping with those dogs who might not have been the most adoptable.
We spent our time working on basic manners, social skills and as they stayed in the system, escalated to more specific behavior modification.
I espcially liked working with the shy dogs, those who just didn't trust yet and watch them thrive and become great dogs.
I recently worked with a private rescue group of dogs saved from death from Georgia to Connecticut. The puppies were adopted out quickly but the 3 dogs who needed more time for medical or behavior reasons spent weeks with us as a group where they learned commands very quickly and have all gotten adopted into their new homes.

Profile: Volunteering at the Connecticut Humane Society since March of 2007 has fueled my passion for wanting to educate dog owners on the importance of training their dogs.
At CHS I volunteer as a Shelter Dog Trainer. The program teaches basic manners, while trying keep dog’s stimulated in a shelter environment.
In January of 2007, I was fortunate enough to adopt a 10 month male Dalmatian named Squirt. Squirt was returned to the shelter twice. Since then Squirt has successfully learned not only obedience but also learned several tricks to assist in Fire Prevention Training, not only he can stay low, stop, drop and roll, he also gets lost. My mission is quite simple "An Educated Owner is An Educated Dog!"

Profile: Long time a pet owner and passionate animal lover. I always knew from a young age that my path would lead me to working with animals as a career. I own and operate my small business based out of Milford Connecticut, since 2012. Originally accredited through Petsmart, I instructed group and private training classes there before moving on to manage TWO separate doggy daycare facilities! After working extensively with pets and animals throughout my career, I finally decided to take it into my own hands to offer premium IN HOME pet care services, often unmatched by kennel facilities. I have experience working with dogs, cats, small animals, birds, fish, reptiles and some farm animals/wildlife. I went on to further educate myself through completing Animal behavior college dog training certificate program. I completed the courses as well as post grad classes, while starting my own business. I practice structured obedience and a pet care using positive reinforcement and force free training techniques.
